Healing the Whole Person Retreat

What is Healing the Whole Person?

It is a physical, spiritual and emotional healing, central to the Church’s life and 2,000 year tradition, come to life today. The uniquely engaging format will help you see and experience God’s healing love through teaching, prayer, personal reflection, adoration and the Sacraments.

The John Paul II Healing Center has created this series to facilitate the Church’s teaching about Healing.

What can I expect?

Expect that God is going to heal and restore you. This healing can be physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual.

When is the retreat?

The retreat is October 6th-8th 2023. It will take place at Our Lady of the Fields retreat center in Brighton, Michigan.

What is the structure like for the retreat?

Every session there will be an hour video from Dr. Bob Schutes and Sr. Miriam James Heidland. There is a book that the JP II Healing Center compiled to assist in addressing and working through wounds that participants will be given and invited to reflect upon during the retreat.

We will have opportunities for Confession, which is a healing sacrament, as well as adoration where you can sit face to face with Jesus, encounter His love, and receive the healing that He wants to give to you. This is also a great time to talk to the Lord about what might be stirring in your heart as we address wounds in our lives.
